We are artists, entertainers, animal lovers and ocean carers. We are known for splashing around on Perth Beaches during the summer and for our aquarium performances on both the West and East Coasts of Australia. You may have also caught us at one of our tank performances, at a local festival or even in a backyard pool!
We are happiest when we are in the water. We have always been water-babies; pretending to be mermaids and dolphins, and dressing up our dolls as mermaids from a young age. So it was only natural for us to make the full transformation into mer-people.
A shared university experience and an artist an muse relationship brought us together. A tail and a photoshoot started this story. Amelia's twin mer-babies popped up along the way too!
It warms our hearts to light up the days of children who happen to spot us on our adventures.
Since starting our mermaid adventures four years ago we have had many wonderful experiences spreading ocean wonder all over Australia. We have collaborated with some amazing people, organisations and events. We have performed all around Perth, in Queensland and Victoria. We have swum with six different species of sharks, taken up freediving, performed at two aquariums, swum with several fellow mermaids and in a few tanks too! We also made it to the top 150 of a well known television talent show! Swimming on the Great Barrier Reef is one of our all time mermaidy highlights. It has been quite a ride!
We are also truly passionate about looking after this special planet we have. Particularly our beautiful oceans. In Western Australia we have an absolutely amazing coast of beautiful beaches and fascinating marine life. By adding a couple of ocean swimming mermaids to the mix we hope to spread awareness about the beauty and importance of what we have on our doorstep.
